Ridge Pointe

President's Article November 2006

Hi to all Ridge Pointe Residents

Where has the year gone? It has certainly been an eventful one for me, particularly since I’ve been recovering from hip replacement surgery that I had in March of this year. I’m doing well, but do plan to take a break from the association duties next year to continue to recover to 100% and to spend more time with my aging parents in North Carolina. I have enjoyed my work with the homeowners association and know that there are many of you who will continue to work so capably to lead our neighborhood. We do always need new folks to step in and take a turn to help and remember that you don’t have to do it forever. If you want to help, please contact Brian Talkington, Paul Hockett or me and we’ll be glad to discuss matching association needs with your interests. It takes a lot of us volunteering a little to help keep our Ridge Pointe a great place to live and besides, it’s fun to meet and know our neighbors!!

Enclosed is a ballot with nominated board members for 2007. Please return your completed ballots with your annual dues payment or you may bring them to the annual meeting. The annual meeting will be January 20, 2007 at 10:00 am at the Hardesty Regional Library. Please make every effort to attend to hear of more about the neighborhood happenings!!

We also need a volunteer to help with implementing our Vision 2025 entryway project. You will remember that we have been awarded a $24,700 grant to complete projects at three entrances. We need to get it underway, but need another volunteer or two to help with civil engineering drawings, obtaining City of Tulsa licensing, obtaining bids for the various aspects of the project, and coordinating with the City to get the work done. Please call me if you can help.

Our finances look very strong with reserves adequate to cover anticipated future repairs. The budget for next year has Board approval and dues for 2007 will remain at $300. Enclosed with this newsletter is an invoice for dues payable as of January 1, 2007.

Insurance bids have been obtained with updated market value replacement values in place. Once again, State Farm Insurance will be our carrier for both the general liability and Directors and Officers coverages.

Thanks to all who help, Carolyn Cagle at 461-8180
