Ridgeleigh HOA

1.  On Saturday evening (about 9 p.m.), 27 June 2009, a house guest nearly escaped being struck by a SPEEDING, EAST-BOUND auto on DEMOCRACY BLVD. that ran through the RED LIGHT at the intersection with GAINSBOROUGH ROAD.  It was an emotionally jarring ending to an otherwise lovely evening.

2.  Speeding on the section of Democracy Blvd. between Falls Road & Seven Locks Road is common due to the uniquely high speed limit from Falls Road to Gainsborough..

3.  Suggest that the appropriate authorities be alerted to this situation; and request submitted for either the installation of speed bumps or excessive speed/red light monitoring equipment as a preventive measure.
