Welcome, new student residents. Enjoy that you have convenient access to your school - as do well in class and in life - but please remember to help us long-time residents take care of the Rincon Heights neighborhood. Here's what my grandma would have said:

Have your friends over, but don't park on the sidewalk.
Host a part, but keep control over noise and empty containers.
Drive reasonably - there are children around here.
Walk your dong, but clean up after it.
Look out for your neighbors and they'll do the same for you.

If I missed yours, I apologize. Now afore you get too excited, there are still several properties here that are in a great state of neglect; I won't list their addresses, but if you are a renter or a property owner or a manager, how about taking a good look at your location and make sure it isn't one of the offenders.


Was it the plea in the spring newsletter? The recent drought? The option of laser shows? Whatever, fireworks were noticeably absent on the 4th of July, not only in our neighborhood, but also around Tucson according to some people I talked with. True, there were those who jeopardized our safety and their own, but I?’d venture out to say there were a lot of pets and owners who appreciated that many residents chose to act responsibly. Now remember to do the same on New Year?’s Eve.


A hearty thanks goes to the neighbor that donated $100 to the RH treasury. Dues are $5 per year ?– strictly voluntary ?– and money goes back into the neighborhood.
