This is a copy of a complaint I have filed with the BBB on January 16, 2009 due to the TERRIBLE service I have received in the location at :      Comet Cleaners

On December 27, 2008 I took 7 items into Comet Cleaners to be dry cleaned. From the beginning there were issues with my purchase ticket. The sales girl, Angela (which is no longer employed there) put the wrong name and phone number on the ticket, which I immediately had corrected. I was supposed to pick it up that Monday and instead went on Tuesday. My items were still not bagged and ready to be picked up; instead she had to go to the back to look for it. After she finally found those items and bagged them up I paid and left. I live next door to the facility and as soon as I got home I noticed my $80.00 Guess label dress was missing so I went right back up there with a picture of it for them to try and look for it. This issue went on for approximately 3 weeks of which I was calling or going back to the store almost every day for an answer and kept getting the run around. My mom had been corresponding with them as well while I was at work. On Jan. 16, 2009 my mom went to the store a final time for the sales girl to get the owner (Azeez) on the phone. He was extremely disrespectful toward her and said he was not going to give me any reimbursement for my dress. He also told her that he didn't care if he lost my business because it was my first time in there and he didn't know me. I had let him know the week before that I would report him to the BBB and he proceeded to tell my mom on Jan 16 that he had dealt with the BBB for 20 years and didn't care if I reported him. On top of his unwillingness to cooperate with customers he was practically yelling at her and using a threatening tone as if he didn't ever want me in his store again. Hopefully this will encourage old, as well as prospective customers to NOT use this place!!

You need to find the second name of Azziz to make a really big difference.   Most of the stores in the strip center from the Chevron on down are absentee owners who aren't very scrupulous-- the Chevron's owners disappeared three years ago after some shenannigan and have creditors and  law enforcement looking for them.  It might have been the E85 gas they bought at a bargain and were selling as 87 octane.  I do know there were double-billing the credit card companies for gas purchases; first an electronic debit and then a paper remittance for the same amount.

So stay away from the businesses in the strip center-- I even use a different State Farm office.

I strongly suggest getting in touch with the Comet Cleaners regional office which is in Arlington.    About a year ago I had some issues with a very rude young 'lady" who told me off since she decided to lock the store early.

I've only taken our clothes there once and to me, that Cleaners was EXTREMELY pricey. We didnt have any problems with the service, but I do agree with the "tag" of your post, definately a rip off!

As for that Chevron, every single time I have gone in there they are always so rude! If it wasnt for the convience of the location, I wouldnt ever bother going back but sometimes I have no choice.

And as for the nail place, I think they do a less then meteoker job on everything and a few times that I have tried to pay debit the owner (I'm assuming) told me their machine was broken which really translates into them not wanting to have to pay the service fee for each time someone pays with a CC.

Oh yes along with the BBB report I have also faxed their headquarters with a similar letter, along with emailing the advertising dept at channel 8, and posted a report on ripoffreport.com. I dont know the owners last name but do know his phone number to the "plant" they send the clothes off to and have included that with everyone i've contacted. Thanks for the tips!!
