Do you have a child that you think may be interested in exploring a career in Law Enforcement? Have he or she ever aspired to be a Police Officer? We'll here's their opprotunity. Fort Worth PD has an Explorer Program for ages 14 to 21 yrs.
The program is designed to teach indiciduals what it's like to be a police officer. Explorers get to meet local police officials, ride-along with officers, perform moch arrests, assist with events, and compete at state and national levels. This program is a great opprotunity for your child to meet other teenagers, develop and enhance listening skills, decision making, responsibility and respect.
If your child is interested, contact Melissa McDougall at mcadomk@yahoo.com for further information.
Should your teenager want to talk to another teenager about their experience in the program, send your child's name and number to mcadomk@yahoo.com and my son, Kevin will call him or her back to answer any questions they may have.
Explorer's meet every Thursday from 7 pm - 9 pm.
The only cost is for uniforms. They wear black BDU pants/shorts and a FWPD issued t-shirt. $10 required for patches.
Get your kids on the good side!
