Stolen makeup....seriously?!!!?

Posted in: River Trails

11/19 I had a makeup bag, of all things, stolen from my car. Who in the world would steal a makeup bag??!!! There was $900-1000 worth of makeup and brushes in there, but still....I would not want someone elses makeup. If anyone sees anyone with a purple and white Ralph Lauren makeup bag for sale or anything please email me at: webeus3@juno.com. I did file a police report, as embarrassing as it is. Just freaking unbelievable. And, yes, I am sure it was stolen. My car door was found ajar in the morning before going to work and I know it was closed the night before - I have searched the house high and low even though I knew I never brought it inside.....grrrrrrrrr....we live on Winding River...anyone else have anything stolen this week?

Was your vehicle secure? Was the make up bag in plain sight?

It amazes me how many people leave their vehicles unsecure and then wonder why people keeping coming back to our neighborhood and stealing our stuff.  It's crime of opprotunity. You give them the opprotunity, they will do it.

You are so rite the suspect(s) saw a chance to grab something and they did it. Seriously suspect(s) will take anything they think is worth something...the suspect(s) are probably pissed off it was only makeup and dumped it the first chance they got. The suspect(s) probably didn't take the time to open the bag to see what they grabbed until they left scene.

Its best not to leave any items in a vehicle, such as a backpacks,  book bags, CD cases, GPS systems, the power cords for GPS systems,  that may or may not contain items of value and/or electronics.....we dont leave anything in our vehicles. Plus the normal insurance policies don't cover replacement of any items that are not part of a vehicle so thats another bite that hurts.

Good luck I know its awful to have something taken from you, especially makeup which can take a long time to get a collection of good stuff. I feel your pain.

Wow, this is rich blame the victim.  Maybe they had a child forget to lock the door.  Who knows but to blame the victim really???  This coming from you the Code Blue leader.  Wow just Wow.  Where I come from stealing is wrong.  The way you come off you are making it sound like it is okay to steal because they forgot to lock their door.

No wonder, no one wants to volunteer to help you with code blue.
