Yesterday afternoon, my neighbor got the tailgate off his truck stolen. (Creede Trail)

It was about the time school was letting out. Luckily, an observant neighbor walking their dog saw this, got the tag number and called police. Thank you whoever you are!!!

A while back we had the trailer hitch, and spare tire stolen off our truck. Hubby is going today to pick up a tailgate lock for his truck.  Just wanted to pass this info on in case you own a pick-up as well. 

Can you provide a description of the suspect vehicle?

Did the police catch them?

Description of the people?

How many people?

Like I said, it was an observant neighbor walking their dog that saw this. I don't have any of the info you asked for, but I will get with my neighbor that owned the truck and report back.

A cop car has  been stationed at the end of our street all day. They said they feel like this was an isolated incident. 

Just wanted people with pick up trucks to be aware that tailgates are being targeted so they could purchase a tailgate lock.

About a year ago my son's spare tire was stolen from underneath his truck as well.  Since we didn't know when and where it happened, we didn't report it.  He didn't notice it until he needed to change his oil and it was gone.  I've never heard of such a thing.  He now keeps the new tire in the bed w/ the cover locked.
