Just wanted to start a thread to inform folks whats happening our neighborhood:

San Joaquin:  My friends car window broken out last night between 2 am and 7 am.  My neighbors Christmas globe was slashed this week.

If you know of anything happening,  please post.  Maybe there will be something in common so we can catch these people.  I believe on another post,  someone said 2 trucks have been stolen.   It's Christmas and the thieves want our stuff so please keep your doors locked and look for any suspicious activity or people and call the police,  Keep your house and family protected.

I have also noticed the rash of crimes being reported.

Are these juveniles that don't want to make it to their 18th birthday?

Who thought it was a good idea to recreate the Fourth of July this morning?

Parents, please have talks with your kids.

Everybody let's keep our eyes open and look out for each other and suspicious people and behavior.

According to Officer Choyce (NPO), the culprit stealing the cars was caught after attempting a police bait-car.  There were other arrests pending (probably the vandals).  The weekly reports I saw, it looked like most of them were people who left GPS & other valuables in their car, which someone will help themselves to.  NEVER leave anything of value in your car parked outside.

Yes, I agree we should be safe in our own driveways, but since we're not a gated community, it's always possible that we have people coming over from other parts of the area to steal from us because we've relaxed.  I already have motion activated lights, but one of my own Christmas presents to myself is going to be a camera system...
