The same thing happened to us and our next door neighbor at the beginning of the month.  They slashed our globe and inflatable santa, as well as our neighbor's inflatable.  They also cut the tie-downs for our globe.  It is frustrating!  We were able to repair ours with some really strong clear tape, thankfully.  A few days later, our neighbor had a friend leave their car parked on the street and woke up to a smash and grab.  Her purse was stolen and the window in the car broken.  We are considering putting in a camera system (or moving!) because things are getting more and more out of control.  I don't know who is doing this or why, but I certainly wish they would stop!

I also live near there, but I NEVER leave anything of value in my car that is parked outside.  Bored teenagers, people from other neighborhoods coming into our neighborhood that have recently been stealing cars (thanks for FTW for the bait car criminal-catch a couple of weeks ago).  Perhaps it's time to turn us mandatory HOA so we have the funds to finish the wall we were supposed to get and put up entry gates to our neighborhood?
