The police mafia in the this town do not interact or involve themselves or become members of the community. They isolate themselves and treat everyone as a suspect and someone to show that they have "authority" over you. It is ridiculous.  I have live here 24 years, and am about tired of it.  My father in law has live here since 1953 and has Prospers finest follow him around town waiting on him to make any mistake ie....not signaling far enough before turn, etc.... to stop and harass him. totally ridiculous.  Protect and Serve  isn't supposed to mean       Protect their interests and serve warrants and tickets and a hard life for no reason. Other than that, the police here are cool.   Actually, only 1 Really fits this description to a T.  Officer golden. Good luck when dealing with him. really,

Folks, attend the HOA meeting on April 18th.  I've asked our NPO to attend, assuming he shows up, I encourage you to voice your concerns with him, just be respectful please ("honey attracts more flies than vinegar").  As for the parking over the sidewalk, our NPO Ofc Williams, has said at the HOA meetings to call him regarding the incident.  He can't cite them unless he sees it himself, but when that occurs, he will cite people.

Parking over the sidewalk, blocking it, is a violation as well as violates ADA rules and causes safety issues (when someone has to walk onto the street to get around it)

I will be out of town on business through next Thursday; regrettably, I cannot attend the HOA meeting.

I don't believe officer Williams is available in the afternoon or on weekends when we need him. He told my neighbor to call the police department and report problems. Guess what? The police department is sometimes or (most of the time), busier with more serious issues than parking violations, kids destroying property, basketball hoops on streets, or other complaints we have in our neighborhood. There are cars racing through the streets and running stop signs. There are no policeman around. When one does call the non-emergency number, the police department take one to two hours to show-up, or they don't show-up at all.

I see the same problems continuing as well as new problems arising.

I see kids on scooters on Saranac racing at max speeds on sidewalks and streets. They have no regard for other people and children walking on sidewalks; even vehicles on the streets. I see the problems with the kids on Saranac starting-up all over again. They are on everyone's yard. They don't care whose yard it is.

I see basketball hoops going up one right after the other. Kids don't get out of the way. If you tap the horn for them to move, they take their time getting out of the way, or they flip you the proverbial "bird" or yell the "F" word at you.

You mentioned that Officer Williams said he has to see the violation himself. A picture tells a thousand words. Why does he have to see it himself. He is not available 24-7. Why can't he ask  concerned citizens to send him pictures? I just don't understand his logic when he is not always available.

For example, the last NPO cleaned-up the serious problems with basketball hoops on Blueridge Trail. This NPO does nothing. There is a hoop on Saranac Tr, Kids are now playing on the street. The sun is setting at that time in the afternoon and cars can't see them that easily. These hoops need to be on the driveways not on the streets. They should be nowhere near the street. Her neighbor pretends to face the hoop the other way, but they still play on the street.

Cars are still on driveways; especially during the weekends.

Where is Officer Williams? Not available on weekends that's for sure. And as for calling the police department, well that can be a moot point if they are taking care of more serious matters.

We are climbing an uphill battle. We need a more assertive officer.

"Honey does attract more flies than vinegar," but sometimes the fly is just not interested in either one. Hopefully, I am wrong and Officer Williams does show-up at the meeting. I hope he is a much more proactive in our neighborhood because at this point and time, many of us don't see that in him.

aperhaps we should see if these parents can be issued a citation,especially if these punks are bullying or trying to intemidate Seniors ,just a thought. I think fining them would put a stop to a lot of this. Just wishful thinking,never going to happen. I saw a mom hanging off front bumper of car a young girl? daughter lying in the middle of the street,one in short shorts doing a vulgar dance a couple of boys laughing ,and we had to go around them,and they call her mom, what a good example for a parent. This family lives on Concho, about 3  houses from the corner,in 2 story house.
