Are there any areas where there is public access to the River where one can fish or just relax? On the topic of fishing, does anyone ever fish in the river in our neighborhood or near the Columbus bridge?

The closest park to the Columbs bridge is Rverside Gardens Park at Rome and Columbus. Other parks along the river with docks are: Sulpher Springs Park and Pool, Rowlett Park, Lowry Park, and Rivercrest Park. Others parks along the river without docks but do allow acess to the river are: Templcrest Park, Epps Park, across from Purity Springs Park, River Blvd. Park, Rivercove Park, Waters Work Park, Plant Park, Julian B Lane/Rverfront Park, and Curtis Hixon Park. Additionally there are parks that allow fishing in them such as Al Lopez, Bobby Hicks, and Gadsden Park. I hope this information is helpful. Douglas J.
