TREASURERS REPORT

Danny Roth reported that we have $7,566.94 in the General Account & $7,713.72 in the Dock Account. 100% of the dock owners have paid!! The following resident/lot owners still owe: ROGER & JUDY BRYANT; GREG DOTY; KIMBERLY DRURY; PEGGY ANN & JOE FAIRLEIGH, LISA RITCHIE, JASON STANFORD, BOBBY JOE & BARBARA WEATHERFORD. We will continue our efforts to get these payments.

DOCK REPORT

Jeff Patton repaired the damage to the boardwalk & had two large logs cut up & removed. There is also a dead tree that will be removed. We can?’t thank Jeff enough for his hard work & diligence in keeping on top of things on our waterfront. Also, a huge Thank You to Ed Oechsli who assisted in removing the log jam.

NEW BUSINESS

PAVILION: Lisa Lindell is having a weather-proof banner made that says ?“PRIVATE PARTY.?” This will be displayed on the fence around the pavilion during Thunder, Boat Race, 4th of July & any other event having fireworks. We are hoping this banner will deter non-residents & drive-bys from stopping in. The banner will also be available for residents to use when they have parties on the pavilion.

The pavilion is not being kept locked due to the gate sagging. Jeff Patton will fix this.

RENTAL HOUSE ON E. RIVERSIDE: The renters have moved out of the house at 916 E. Riverside & have left their cats & garbage. Animal Control & Metro Call have been notified of this. If you have any issues with this house please call Metro Call (311) & they will refer your concerns to the Health Department for investigation.

ARTICLE: Attached to these minutes is an article that was in a recent issue of the Courier Journal Neighborhoods section. This addresses the Sunday traffic on River Road.

RIVER FIELDS GUESTS: Beth Jones & Cary Peter, from River Fields, were our guests. We invited them to attend our meeting so that we could express to them our concerns regarding the property for sale on River Road (Phil Lacy?’s home & lots). This property is being advertised as ?“?…an excellent location for potential Patio home/Town home development.?” River Fields is concerned about potential development on River Road & E. Riverside (the 3 lots that have been for sale for a couple of years). Not only will multifamily units be unsightly, there are traffic issues to be addressed. Ms. Jones explained there is a ?“Form District?” which has new regulations in place about what can be built in a area. The Form District wants to make sure that any housing construction is compatible with what is existing. Ms. Jones will also speak with MSD regarding the Flood Plain vs Flood Way designation. This designation could have a major impact on new construction.

In addition, when she spoke with MSD, Ms. Jones was told that Riviera is not in the long-range plans for a sewer project.

The Board is also considering having a General Membership vote to have the assessments for any multi-family units be a set amount vs. based on lot square footage. This change in assessments will not affect anyone currently living in a single family dwelling in Riviera. This amount would only affect homes built as Patio homes/Town homes.
.
If anyone would like to become a member of River Fields Lisa Lindell has cards available to send in. The basic cost is $25.00. River Fields is a wonderful organization committed to conserving green space.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.
