I am interested in seeing this movie. However, I heard it is subtitled. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes
It is subtitled in the Latin or Roman language to make it more realistic. |

Subtitles
The dialogue in the film is Latin and Aramaic (the language Christ spoke). From what I understand, there weren't going to be any subtitles at all. It is so visually powerful, the subtitles were added as an afterthought. |

I am interested in seeing it too
I hope it holds up to the hype. My church has puchased block tickets. I am not a fan of Mel Gibson's but I think this movie will, at the very least, create a discussion about Christ and his sacrifice for us. I hope there are not anti-Semitic references as reported, that would totally turn me off from recommending the movie to others. As we should all know, Jesus came as the Messiah and to die for all sinners. |
