Thank you to all of the concerned neighbors who called BC Communities about our neighborhood sign this past Summer. It was definitely an act of vandalism. The sign was knocked over and its internal supports were completely destroyed. The Rosetree Hunt Maintenance Association Board of Directors worked very hard to get the sign fixed and reinforced as soon as possible. This included:
Securing the community name medalion; filing a formal police report,; finding and contacting the community's insurance company to file a claim; taking pictures of the damage and getting them to the insurance agent.; finding a qualified, licensed and insured company to repair and reinforce the sign; working around the heavy rains during that time; meeting with the repair company to transfer the medalion to be installed; arranging payment of the repair company, completing the insurance claim on the sign damage once the repair was complete, and depositing the insurance payment in the community's bank account.
As you can see, it takes more than a few days to get these things resolved. Also, please remember that your board members have full-time jobs and lives to manage, too. All time spent on community maintenance is completely voluntary.
