FREE Grant for Attic Insulation & Air Sealing

Dear Residents,
Is your bungalow drafty and uncomfortable? Our Energy Savers Grant (valued at $3,600) offers Chicago bungalow owners FREE attic insulation and air sealing for their homes. The grant is designed to help lower your gas and electric bills, make your home more comfortable during cold winter and hot summer months, and help increase the value of your historic home. Weatherization services may include:
- Attic Insulation
- Sealing cracks and drafts in your attic, basement and sidewalls

Applying is simple:
To qualify for the free Energy Savers Grant, you need the following:
- You must own and occupy a Chicago bungalow
- Submit signed and completed application and required income documents by deadline: Friday, May 1, 2015 (submittal instructions are on application)
To qualify, household income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income
(see AMI chart below)

The Energy Savers Grant is available for a limited time only and on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have received a grant from HCBA in the past, you may not be eligible for another.
HCBA is concerned about your health and safety. If health and safety issues are discovered during the assessment, we may ask that you resolve the issues before work can be done.
