Please, Please Help RHCA with Litter
Litter, litter everywhere litter!
You may not be the ones who are during it, but we need help getting the information out. Could you be a liaison for us. Tell your Neighbors, friends, family, black people, white people, dogs & cats:
- Do not THROW garbage out of your Car as you drive. Take it home and place it in the garbage.
- DO place your garbage and recycling in the proper containers, be sure the laid is closed.
- If you see Litter Pick It UP! It won't kill you. (I do it and I'm still here) Keep gloves in car to use for litter pick-up on your way out or in.
Remember:
Chicago is not a garbage can. The city (our neigborhood) has a serious problem with littering (have you looked down your Alley lately?). Chicago spends millions in litter clean-up each year. Your tax money which could be used for parks, education, help for seniors or community organizations is use to PICK UP LITTER!. This spring many of you volunteered with your time to clean this community. We need for all of you to help us keep our property values from declining even more. Please cut your grass, clean your alley, PICK UP THE LITTER! And if there is a senior on your block that needs help, help them (if you live you will be a senior one day). A neighborhood that looks dirty is a breeding place for crime, rats, and disease. The one thing we can all do for our property values is clean up.
