We would like to thank the those that attended the meeting on 10/20/2001 and hope others can make the January General Meeting. We had about 75 people show up to see the ladder truck, visit with Fred Ronstadt, and vote on expansion issue. The vote was 22 in favor of expanding to 22nd Street, 5 against and five votes for specific expansion areas. We had an information area and people available for discussing the pros and cons. We would like to thank Wilma Yetzke, Treasurer and Barbara Stoddard, Secretary for confirming membership status and managing the ballots. There was a lot of great food and fun. There was a jumping castle for the kids and as usual there were a lot of children. Fred Ronstadt was available for residents to talk to and we are always thankful for his presence. If you look at the photo at the left the trunk of the historic Mesquite tree is in the middle. We hope to get some more articles about this tree, etc from a neighborhood resident. We also got Ladder Truck 11 from a nearby neighborhood. The ladder was raised and the firefighters talked to local residents. We would like to thank the Rosemont Community Church for the extra tables and chairs. The weather was great and we hope to keep the Picnic in the Park going. We can always use some help moving tables, bringing supplies and sitting at the ramada until the picnic starts.
