Surveys and Grants Input Needed

Aug 27, 2002

Thank you to all of the 130+ people who responded to our last survey. Priorities chosen (in order of importance) were: sidewalks, making Hoffman Park handicap accessible, jogging/exercise path, bulletin boards, beatifying the Niven triangle and a fenced dog run.
It was difficult to rank the importance of many choices indicated on the survey because we did not design the survey as clearly as we had wished (e.g., some choices were checked, not ranked). RWNA has some grant applications pending. In the expectation of being awarded grants, it has been suggested that we more clearly define our goals. We would like to create another survey, to be completed before or during the next annual General Membership meeting in January 2003. In this survey, we would like to include suggestions from residents - with clearer instructions! We are also considering putting cost estimates with each option so that respondents can better choose allocation of funds. Do you have an idea you would like to see listed? Would you like to work with Loren Stoeckel on this? Please call Loren at 326-2643 with suggestions and/or offers to volunteer. We anticipate having a draft of the survey available at the October Picnic in the Park.
