Minutes for March 9, 2010 civic association meeting
Agenda:
Review snow removal balances, DELDOT refunds
Collect dues & residents who consistently do not pay
Increasing dues proposal - last increase in 1973
Do we need a clean up day?
Minutes:
Remaining snow removal balance at start of meeting was less than $200. Several storms qualified for DELDOT refunds. Total anticipated refunds around $2000.00. Will use as retainer and stop gap for next season.
6 additional dues collected - 4 residents have yet to pay - Milton will send a bill to non-payers for their dues owed with 30 day terms. If no payment is received after 30 days, a letter will be issued warning resident of civic association's intent to place a lein on their property if the dues are not paid within 30 days. If no payment is received after the second 30 day period, lein proceedings will begin.
We decided to collect dues of $75 in Oct 2010 for the 2010-2011 winter season. A vote will be taken at that meeting to raise the dues from $75 to $100. All must viote, even if they are not present. If residents do not vote in person or in writing, the civic association will still act on the vote taken by the attending residents.
No official clean up weekend needed. But keep an eye out for problems like shrubs or tree too close to street.
Misc - Andrey will give Milton DOT contact info to get NCC to look into erosion problem on Runnymede Rd.
