RUTLEDGE II MAINTENANCE CORPORATION

NEWSLETTER ?– August 2004

COMMUNITY MEETING SEPTEMBER 8, 2004
7 p.m. at the Bear library.

Our yearly elections will be held at this meeting. It is important that as many people as possible attend. If you cannot attend, you can vote by dated letter of proxy either given to an attending member of the elections or sent to our Post Office Box 10383, Wilmington, DE 19810. This letter must be received before the election date. As per our bylaws, an alphabetical list of all eligible members of the community will be available ten days prior to the elections. To see a copy of this list, please contact the existing board members.

Anyone interested in running for the Board, please contact any member as soon as possible. We still need more people since the Board may have six (6) members.

Thus far, we have one person who has voiced interest in running. Peg Cannister of 12 Baywatch Road.

At this meeting, Judy Norcross will give us the Treasurer?’s report along with making the account books available to review.

FEES

As of the last newsletter, only five (5) houses have not paid their fees for 2004.

TRAFFIC ISSUES

In our last issue of the newsletter, one person expressed interest in forming traffic committee. We need more people to get involved. If people are interested in joining a committee for Traffic Issues, please contact the Board. We need
to resolve issues before someone is seriously injured. Speeding and failure to stop at stop signs are on-going concerns.

PLEASE NOTE: Riding ATV?’s 4 X 4?’s, dirt bikes and other motorized vehicles in open space in either Rutledge I or II is illegal. Unlicensed motorized vehicles on our streets are prohibited. In addition, Rutledge I reserves the right to legally pursue offenders if they are ticketed for trespassing for the misuse of open space.

If you see riders in the open spaces or on our streets, please call the New Castle County police non-emergency number at 573-2800.

Also, parking any vehicle within 20 feet of a stop sign is illegal. The police will be notified.

COMMUNITY YARD SALE SEPTEMBER 11th FROM 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Any household interested can put out a table on that day. We will discuss particulars at the September 8th Community Meeting.
