RUTLEDGE II MAINTENANCE CORPORATION
NEWSLETTER - May 2004
IN APPRECIATION
The Board of Directors for Rutledge II Maintenance Corp and the Community of Rutledge II thank Andrea Wilson- Harvey for her dedication and hard work on behalf of the community. Andrea was elected as one of the first members of the Board of Directors. She served during periods when all the other members either quit of moved away. Few of the residents are aware of how often she put forth her knowledge and efforts for our community. She did this without pay and for much of the time, without thanks.
Andrea, thank you for all you have done for us. We wish you the best life has to offer. We are proud to have you as our neighbor. Thank you again.
ELECTIONS
Since Andrea's resignation, Dan Noblitt of 14 Yellowfin Trail is temporary president of the Board until elections are held in September. Anyone interested in running for the Board, please contact any member by June 30th. The Board may have six (6) members. Those who attend the election in September at the Bear Library will make the choices. In our July newsletter, we will notify you with the actual date of the election and the names of those running for the Board.
FEES
As of the last meeting of the board of directors, 82% of the houses paid their fee for 2004. Thank you!
TRAFFIC ISSUES
Schools out soon. Be aware children are at play. Concerns were raised at the community meeting about traffic. Speeding and failure to stop at stop signs were sited as major concerns. In addition, motorized scooters were also mentioned. If people are interested in joining a committee for Traffic Issues, please contact the Board. We need
to resolve the issues before someone is seriously injured.
PARKING
If you park you car on the street, PLEASE park close to the curb. Cars have trouble passing if you do not do so.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT FOR 2003
The actual figures for 2003 are as follows:
Grass cutting: $2,310.00
Landscaping Maintenance: $1,600.00
Snow Removal: $3,420.00
Business/Administrative
Expenses: $643.24
Storm Water Management: $1,480.00
Non-Budgeted Expenses: $3,335.99
Total: $12,789.23
The community will vote on the budget for 2005.
LIABILITY INSURANCE
The Community now has Liability Insurance for our private open spaces and for the Board Members. The cost is $845.00 per year.
LANDSCAPING, MOWING AND SNOW PLOWING CONTRACT
We now have a contract with a new vendor for our public space and street needs. G & E Landscaping gave us the lowest bid price. We have a one-year contract with them.
GRASS CLIPPINGS
Part of the reason for our increase in fees for 2004 is to pay for the dredging of the Storm Water pond. You can help keep the pond clear by not leaving grass clippings in the gutters that runs into it. These clippings clog the drainage system.
