The Alliance for Education in partnership with Seattle Public Schools and community leaders is embarking on a journey to engage the community - at a deeper and broader level than ever before - in dialogue about education in our city.
A Public Engagement Task Force of community members has been formed and charged with this work. The Task Force, in partnership with Seattle Public Schools and the Alliance for Education is recruiting community organizations to host a community dialogue about education. Research has proven over and over again that community involvement is critical to ensure the academic success of all children.
Our first topic is High School Graduation Requirements. With input from the community, the Seattle School District will develop a new set of Graduation Requirements that make sense for the 21st Century.
