SCA Will Focus on Small Business
This coming meeting of the Sabin Community Association will focus on small business. Bridget Bayer from the North/Northeast Business Association (NNEBA) will be speaking on what they do, and what benefits there are to being a member, and how you can join. She will be followed by Carol Coren from Mercy Corp. Mercy Corp. has two programs to help anyone wishing to start a small business. The first program is the Portland Entrepreneur Initiative (PEI), which offers loans to low and moderate income entrepreneurs who want to start, expand, or sustain a small business. The second is the Refugee/Immigrant Self Employment program (RISE). loans of $500 to $150,000 are available depending on income level and length of time in business. We are inviting all the local business people to the meeting. This is a good time to meet them. I hope to see you all there.
