Police Dispatch Audio Review
From time to time local media seeks validation of tips provided them by Crimewatch. We have two projects pending:
- Sacramento Bee - Frequency of Code-12 situations (No police units available to respond)
- KXTV News10 - Interest in Public Records Act requests ignored.
On the Bee item, the person working on this project will use a free donloaded application called Audacity to review SPD dispatches over a 12 to 24 hour period. The application allow you to skip forward and back and look at peak traffic. In otherwords, no one expects you spead all day or night listening to radio traffic.
On the second item, KXTV-10, an interview and ride-along has already been shot. We're working as a team to craft CPRA requests
