Word from the City...

Hi Gary,

I have some new information for you. The intersection of Center
Parkway and Jacinto Avenue has been added to the Signal Priority
List in the latest City Transportation Programming Guide. The intersection
is currently ranked #5, although ranking is subject to change yearly
as intersection information is updated.

The City has funding to design and construct approximately two signal
locations per year. When outside funding from development fees,
etc., is available for a particular intersection, signal design
and placement can be expedited.

Evangeline Lucas has recently been placed in charge of qualifying
and ranking new signal locations. Please contact her at 264-7612 with any questions.

Additionally, the speed radar board is tentatively scheduled for
Jacinto Avenue approaching Calvine Road and for placement on Calvine
Road during the third week in August.

Thank you for your concern in these traffic matters. Please remind
the members of your community that they play the greatest role in
local traffic calming by adhereing to the rules of the road and
demonstrating courtesy and responsible behavior when they are behind the wheel.
