Congressional Hearing on Children's Oral Health

More than 51 million school hours are missed each year due to dental-related illness. Only one in five Medicaid-insured children receive dental services each year, which means that the majority are not getting the regular care they need to prevent decay, infection and pain. The Children's Dental Health Project documented testimony from the first-ever Congressional hearing on the "Crisis in Children's Dental Health," held in June.
