**Pell Grant Ceiling for Low-Income Students to Rise in 2002-03
Pell Grant increases from $3,750 to $4,000 are a year away, taking
effect
in the 2002-03 school year. The current average Pell Grant covers about
40
percent of the costs of four-year public colleges and only 15 percent
of
the costs at four-year private colleges.
