Happy Summer Good Neighbors!
Summer is upon us and we’ve all begun to fling our doors and windows open, emerging into our yards and gardens, enjoying the warm sunshine. Just a friendly reminder that good relations with your neighbors are important. Remember to be considerate when walking your dog, please pick up immediately after they do their business. Be respectful of your neighbors property, many of our homes throughout the association have such beautiful and I might add expensive landscaping and we wouldn't want to see any of that ruined. Be considerate of your noise levels as well. We all know what a banging thumping boom box can do to ruin our peaceful tranquility, but there are many other sounds and activities that can be just as annoying. And please be considerate of neighbors who may be going through an illness or birth of a new child. Sometimes the “normal” afternoon noise can be more disruptive than we ever imagined. Put yourself in your neighbor’s shoes before arguments ensue. We also ask, that you don’t dump invasive plants and vegetation into the wetlands. Unfortunately there may be a dispute with a neighbor, try to resolve it amicably. Wauconda does have a Community Service Officer and village violations can be reported directly to that department.
To call for the Community Service Officer dial: (847) 526-2421 and ask for that department.
