We saw the signs up around town for Curbside Recycling and decided to try it. I'm so glad we're doing it. There is one very nice man who runs it right now around the whole city. He picks up here in Mt Juliet on Thursdays. When I signed up about 4 weeks ago he had almost 70 customers and had been doing this for about 7 weeks, so it's a relatively new business. You sign up by going to the website nashvilleoutdoors.net. Within a day or two he'll drop off a tupperware container to use and a list of what all can be recycled. Then you just throw everything in the tub, no sorting. He wants to make it as easy as he can so more people want to do it. The cost is $15 / month, paying quarterly. I leave my tubs right in front of my garage and he'll come down the driveway and pick them up (so as not to confuse my garbage men). Since we have started this, we are averaging only about 2 bags of garbage per week, and about 3 tupperware containers of recycled stuff each week (we just added our own extra containers).

I highly recommend this to everyone. It's remarkable how much can by recycled each day.
