Received in today's mail a post card from our Alder Barbara Harrington-McKinney about a neighborhood meeting about this development. It says "This approximately 210-unit project is consistent with the adopted plans and will feature a range of market-rate units set withing six buildings served by a clubhouse with amenity features. The project is slated for formal review this fall, with construction starting late spring next year. A virtual neighborhood meeting to hear more about this proposal is scheduled for Wednesday, September 4, 224, at 6:30pm. You can join the virtual meeting using your computer, smart phone, or tablet or listen in via telephone. You will received login information after registering at http://www.cityofmadison.com/MeetingSeptember4Midpoint. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedbac."
IMO is is NOT part of the Veridian Proposal that previous posts on this thread are about. This post card mentions "DSI Real Estate" which is not Veridian. I also mentions a "210-unit project, etc." and is also not what Veridian's proposal is about. I think that this is a NEW development project that will be across Mid Town Road from Province Hill Apartments, up behind the housese on Marty Road.
I'm a bit disappointed that this is happening so quickly; I thought we'd have a few years before any apartment complex was built there. It means that the development and construction of this 210-unit project will be happening at the same time as the Veridian project that will be a bit farther west of it.
