On February 13th the Columbus Development Commission turned down the LR2 Zoning request for the Sladeco property. Sources indicate that they will NOT return to the commission for a more favorable ruling. Instead, they have ask for another hearing before the Westland Area Commission. WAC originally turned down the request. After WAC has heard the application for the second time the applicant plans to go before Columbus City Council around the end of March or early April.
Members are encouraged to attend the WAC meeting on March 19th at 7:00 PM at Doctors Hospital West. As of today the only known changes for the development are the elimination of 50' lots. 25% of the lots will be 60' wide and the remainder will be 55' wide. The density will remain at 3.9 units per acre.
