Walk Like A Pirate - Walking Club Event

Posted in: Salmon Creek Commons

In honor of “Talk Like a Pirate Day,” the Vancouver USA Walking Club is hosting a walk and urging everyone to Walk Like a Pirate!

Hey friends of Salmon Creek! SAVE THE DATE! The Vancouver USA Walking Club will be hosting an all-comers invitation to “Walk Like a Pirate” along the Salmon Creek Trail on Sep 28th. If you’ve lived in the neighborhood for a while and have been putting off this adventure, this would be a great opportunity to explore the trail! If you travel the trail frequently, you know how beautiful it is. Feel free to invite your friends to come enjoy the wildlife, the scenery, the tranquility, the flora and fauna!

What does this have to do with Walking Like a Pirate! Everything! You get to capture the scenery (bring your camera), sail alongside a creek with the wind in your face (pack suntan lotion), load up your eyeballs to the brim with the vast treasures of nature, and stuff your ear holes to the rim with melody of birdsong! Won’t you join us? When you get done, you will certainly feel like saying “AAARRRRRR! That was AAARRRRsome, me HAARRRRRTY!”

The Vancouver Walking Club invites you to our walks and to volkssporting.  Our club was founded in 1988 to serve Vancouver, Clark County, and the SW Washington Regional Area.  To learn more about us and to meet our club members, we invite you to come to one of our monthly meetings.  We generally meet the second Thursday of each month at 6:30pm at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center (hospital), Health Education Center, Room 7, or more precisely, 6400 NE Mother Joseph Place, Vancouver, WA 98664

In true pirate fashion, and to catch the treasure ships off-guard, we will celebrate on Sep 28th, rather than the 19th, which is when everyone else celebrates Talk Like a Pirate Day! Except for all of you, ME MATEYS, no one will ever expect the surprise attack!  AAARRRRRRR!  Come join us and walk the plank (I mean trail) with us!
