RUNNING TOGETHER

''It's not how well each person runs, but how well they run together''.

The club is a non-profit organization formed under the umbrella of the Road Runners Club of America, to promote the sport of running. We educate and promote the public about the many benefits of running for recreation and fitness. The club provides a variety of running, training as well as social events throughout the San Antonio Metropolitan area. We will on occasion take trips to other areas of Texas, the United States or other countries.

Every first Satuday, there is a fun run where the entire family can participate. They are held at McAllister Park.

''TWENTY-NINE YEARS AND STILL RUNNING STRONG!''
The community is invited and greatly encouraged to participate at any and all levels within the San Antonio Road Runners Club. Some may choose to volunteer and show civic pride by cheering on runners from around the world as they visit our great city to run in the annual San Antonio Marathon held every November (November 10 , 2002). Some people may chose to invest their business' marketing and advertising dollars by sponsoring races or donating prizes in races such as the annual Fiesta Flambeau Fandango 3 Miler, the proceeds from this race goes to scholarships for area high school students. The club has many such events throughout the year including the June 22nd 1/2 Marathon Relays, the July 4th 5K Freedom Run, July 13th Womens 5K, and the December 7th 10 Miler, opportunities abound.
