Code Compliance & Tenants

Yes, Code Compliance is tough in the city and extremely tough to enforce in our area. It's a small city Department I think it's under 5 people for all of San Diego. With that said keep up the reporting that's the only way things get investigated. Also if the tenants are renters the DCC and our Community Relations Officer can contact the owner on your behalf. Please advise the address so we can assist.

Code Compliance is somewhere around 80 to 90 staff large; however, in a city with over a million people the math bears out that they have their hands full. If you can get me the address to this problem property I will turn in the case to code compliance and get it prioritized. It should also be brought to the attention of Officer Pat Norris, the local area supervisor, so he can keep an eye on it. This is why we need form watch groups to be the eyes & ears for the police who cannot be everywhere all at once.
