Ash Properties Inc. wants to take a stronger retail claim in booming East Arlington.

Jacksonville-based Ash Properties, known widely for its 25 Atlantic Self Storage projects, is working on development plans to remodel the former Pic N' Save store at 10800 Atlantic Blvd. and build a 12,295 sq. ft. building on site.

The closed Pic N' Save sits vacant at one of the city's high traffic areas - Atlantic Blvd. and St. Johns Bluff Rd.

Ash intends to renovate the 61,696 sq. ft. vacant retail store and build the new structure. When completed in the first quarter of 2000, the 73,991 st. ft. project will become available for lease.

Ash owns the adjacent Justin Plaza, which also will be renovated.
