Dam Safety ~ North Mountain Detention Dam No. 7

The city of Phoenix will conduct a public open house to discuss safety assessment for the North Mountain Detention Dam No. 7, located on Central Avenue at the dead end south of Thunderbird Road. The existing dam has been evaluated for very large storm events, and the dam is adequate to manage and withstand these events. Maintenance activities that will ensure the safety of the dam will be presented.

Representatives from the city will be available to discuss the dam safety assessment, dam rehabilitation plans and answer any related questions. Exhibits will be displayed for information purposes. The public is welcome.
