Shawnee Justice Reinvestment Project

Several years ago, the US surpassed the 2 million mark for rates of incarceration.  Each year over 500,00 folk return home.  That means each community is impacted not only by the leaving but also by the returning.  The qustion is what is to be our response as a community.  We may choose to ignore the fact that most folk who go to prison will one day be coming home or we may choose rather to identify those returning and assist with a plan for successful living.  I say lets help, what do you say?
