We live on Castlemont Avenue and on Thursday, July 11th, our house was broken into. The front door was kicked right off the door jamb.
They spent a good amount of time in our home. Going through every purse, zipper, drawer, pocket, box, cupboard and closets. Our home was violated in everyway possible.
San Jose PD has 1 (ONE) officer covering burglaries. We have zero chance of getting any of our items back.
The police feel it is kids, at least 2. They ring the doorbell and knock and when no one answers they kick the door in. Both of our dogs were in their crates and they were unharmed. We have replaced all locks and deadbolts and put in an alarm system as well as more motion lighting.
Please be aware of kids lurking around. Please look out for your neighbors.
If you see anything suspicious please call the police.
THIS IS IMPORTANT: Nothing was stolen that is worth shooting a kid over. Nothing is worth getting into an altercation. Just call the police!
