hello everyone. there is a man I know who lives  in Muscatine and he was just accused of having sex with a 15 yr old girl and now he is out of jail. I dont understand how a judge can let someone out of jail who has done this, he bascially had been doing this with the girl and the boy for years. what  has happned to the justice system ? people like that should remain in jail until they go to prison.

My personal opinion is that they should be castrated before being released from jail!...they say a large portion of them will commit the offense again.......i belive they should be put to death!

The keyword here is ACCUSED.He is convicted of nothing. He may well be guilty but in the or justice system, he is INNOCENT until his case is adjudicated. That is the system that will also protect you and I if we are ever ACCUSED of a crime.

Being arrested and let out of jail prior to a trial is the cornerstone of the American judicial system.  People are only kept in jail if they are a "flight" risk, or the government can make a compelling reason why letting them out puts the public in imminent danger.

Bail is only a means to assure a future court appearance and it has nothing to do with a persons guilt or lack of guilt.  Can you imagine how many jails we would need if everyone that got arrested had to stay in jail until their trial?
