Silver Creek HOA

On June 6, Saturday evening we accidently left our garage door open.
Someone entered and got into the cars and took the keys, garage door opener, baby's diaper bag, and a wallet.
They used some of the credit cards that were in the wallet at Walmart and Meijer on Westport Road between 4 & 6 am early that morning. So we assume it happened around 3am.
I am thankful they did not decide to continue and enter the house.
We had to replace all locks on the house, garage and cars. This is very expensive.
Please be careful.

EMBARRASSED AND OUTRAGED

HOW MANY CRIMES ARE GOING TO HAVE TO HAPPEN UNTIL SOMETHING IS DONE?THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM!MANY OF MY NEIGHBORS WEREN'T EVEN AWARE OF THE ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION OR THE RANDOM ROBBERIES IN THE AREA.THE PROBLEM CONTINUES TO WORSEN.PEOPLE ARE CONSTANTLY SPEEDING THROUGH HITE CREEK LIKE IT'S THE INDY 500 AS WELL.THE NEIGHBORHOOD AS A WHOLE NEEDS TO GET TOGETHER TO ELIMINATE THIS TRASH BECAUSE IT'S RIDICULOUS.OBVIOUSLY WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO SOLVE THIS OURSELVES BECAUSE I'VE SEEN NO HELP FROM
ANY OUTSIDE SOURCES.WHEN THERE ARE 50 FOR SALE SIGNS UP IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD MAYBE IT WILL BE REALIZED THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM.THIS PROBLEM HAS TO BE NIPPED IN THE BUD QUICKLY,AND IF IT TAKES SLEEPING ON MY PORCH TO CATCH THESE THIEVES I WILL.

Incidents in area

I am not sure who DK is. I do however know that as soon as the report was made I personally spent numerous hours on the phone, making fliers, and distributing them house to house in reference to the creek incident.

There have been more burglaries in garages lately as well. We are hearing of these as people are telling us, as well as us speaking with the police.
We do have a Block Watch set up. We are always trying to make people aware. The crime has picked up in our area, the police assure us that this is because school is out. I have contacted the Adam District and have requested more patrols in our area.
We are not ignoring this. However, it will take all of us to get involved and make this happen. All block watch captains need to make sure to pass on the information to the homes in their area. Together we can do this. If you see anything out of the ordinary, please take the plate number and report it to the police. This goes for speeding as well. Let us know where you are seeing the majority of speeding and the time of day. That way we can give specifics as to the time, so that the police can ticket in our area. Let us know the house number to where the cars belong, so that the home owner can be addressed.

It's going to take all of us being aware and alerting each other to what is going on in order to get this under control.

I am waiting for an update currently from the police and our block watch captain. I will post any new information as I receive it.

Two teens caught

Two teenagers were arrested Tuesday night at the BP station up the street. They had stolen a car from Worthington and left it at a home in our neighborhood. I do not have information at this time to tell me that it was definitely the same kids that are doing the robberies here in the neighborhood.
I am trying to get in contact with the police department to get more information.
