Basketball Hoops Allowed

The homeowners of Silverton II have voted to allow portable basketball hoops to stay up all the time in the front and back yards of the Silverton II community. This was passed with 75% of the eligible voters voting yes to the change. Thank you to all that took the time to help get the signatures. This wasn?’t an easy thing to get accomplished. Please remind your children to watch for cars if the ball goes in the road. Safety should be everyone?’s number one concern when playing and driving on the streets.
If you aren?’t using your hoop for long periods of time, like over the hot summer months for example, please be thoughtful and store it behind your gate. This will keep our neighborhood looking nice. The hoops and nets must be kept in excellent condition if they get broken or torn please replace them.Remember not everyone wanted this change and for the sake of harmony and good will in the community don?’t let the basketball hit your neighbors?’ cars and plants. If you play on the sidewalk please move the hoop back so that people can walk on the sidewalks when you are not playing. Let?’s make this work for everyone.
