ALTA, & K-Swiss & Tennis Lessons

Posted in: Woodlands by Pulte
ALTA - Anyone know the process for trying the join the community ALTA teams? If you have a contact name/number please post.
For those who haven't been to the courts in a while, it appears we have a Number 1 Mens team. It would it have been nice to have the community cheer and recognize their efforts.

K-Swiss
For those who aren't into doubles and would like to participate in singles, check out http://www.ultimatetennis.com/ The league is sponsored by K-Swiss. Pretty nice web site explaining the process.

Tennis Lessons
Now before this is interpreted the wrong way, let me first say I'm a huge tennis fan and support those trying to increase their fitness levels. I hit almost every day and participate in the K-Swiss league.
However, when it comes to reserving courts, I draw the line. Unless we intend to charge the ALTA organization/participating members, or charge Rand Tennis/participating students, courts should be made available first come - first serve.
I've heard stories all summer of community members being dismissed from the courts because of ALTA team practice or Rand Tennis lessons. Come on folks, everyone pays a hefty homeowners fee for the courts. If it's the one day of the week when a family can get out to enjoy the courts, it's not going to hurt your level of play if move ALTA/Rand to another court. If you want that kind of control, let's make the Tennis Courts a profit center. The community can collect fees from ALTA or Rand for the privileged reservations. The money can be used for community activities or improvements (I wouldn't mind having a practice wall constructed down there).
I'd love to hear other suggestions or welcome the feedback.
