A (& B)-STICKER ZONE FACT SHEET
(Or how to survive living with a football stadium as a neighbor)
The Sloan's Lake Citizen's Group would like to update you. As a resident living in the A-sticker zone it is important for you to know the parking policies and procedures affecting you during events held at Mile High Stadium.
- You need a resident permit on your car(s) to park when A-sticker zone parking regulations are enforced for certain events held at the stadium.
See the attached flyer for details on how to obtain your A-sticker permits.
- Special event guest passes
You can obtain guest passes issued at Denver Fire Station (#12) 2575 Federal Blvd., for special needs such as weddings, funerals and family holiday celebrations.
-These passes are only for guests visiting your home.
-The use of the passes is monitored.
Abuse of resident guest parking passes will result in loss of this privilege.
- CALL THE POLICE NON-EMERGENCY DISPATCH NUMBER (720-913-2000) when you see these violations happening: (Crime or safety concerns-Call 911 )
-Traffic Congestion
-Cruising
-Loud noise
-Illegal parking in yards, streets, alleys
-Selling or other abuse of Guest Passes
- To help the dispatcher:
-Know the exact location of the property or the cars you are calling about.
-Give your name and telephone number to the dispatcher so that the Police Officer, Zoning or Parking Management Inspector can get back with you if they need additional information.
-The license plate number and description of the car is also helpful.
- "A" Parking Restriction Changes
Parking regulations on individual blocks can be changed by petition signed by at least 80% of residents on the block. Residents should carefully consider the options before signing because the effects of the change will be long term. These changes include increasing or decreasing restrictions or the elimination of non-restricted parking on the ends of the block. Contact Parking Management by calling 720913-1746
- Encourage friends to use other parking alternatives to get to the stadium:
-Call 303-299-6000 for RTD Park and Ride information (www.RTD-Denver.com).
-Auraria Campus, Pepsi Center and Six Flags Elitch Garden lots.
- IT IS IMPORT ANT TO READ THE SIGNS POSTED ON THE STREET ON YOUR BLOCK.
Sign regulations vary depending where you live in the neighborhood.
- PARKING VIOLATIONS WILL BE ENFORCED DURING ALL NATIONAL FOOTBALL GAMES AND THE CU/CSU FOOTBALL GAME.
Enforcement for non-Bronco events will be determined by the size of the event.

*What is a Residential Parking Permit?
A residential Parking Permit is a decal that is displayed on the rear or front windshield of the vehicle.
*What is the purpose of a Permit?
The permit exempts the resident's vehicle from the posted on-street parking time limit restrictions at the place of the residence. Permits do not guarantee a parking place nor grant parking privileges at another location.
*Who should obtain a Permit?
Anyone who resides on a block with posted parking time limit restrictions and wants a permit for their vehicle. The block must be in a residential zone. Residential Parking Permits do not allow parking without restriction at parking meters, loading zones, no parking anytime zones, or other restricted zones.
*How are permits obtained?
Permits may be obtained in person or by mail. All first time applicants will be expected to:
- Submit a signed request for a permit. (Preferably an application form obtained from Parking Management.
- Provide acceptable verification of residence. Only documents listed below will be accepted:
A utility, telephone, or cable television bill dated within the last 30 days; or a current auto insurance document.
- Provide current vehicle registration on the vehicle for which the permit is requested. The name of the applicant and the address for which the permit is requested must be on the registration. The applicant's name and the address where the permit is being requested must be on each document. (Some exceptions may apply to students and/or military personnel.)
Individuals who have an annual permit should receive a renewal notice prior to the expiration date. Instructions for renewing the permit are included with the notice. If a renewal notice is not received 14 days prior to the expiration, inquiry should be made to the Parking Management Office.
- How many permits can be obtained?
Permits are issued for vehicles. The limit on vehicles for any household is one vehicle for each licensed driver of the household plus one vehicle for the household. Permits are issued in accordance with this guideline.
- Where can permits be obtained?
Permits may be obtained by mail or in person at the Parking Management Office: Parking Management, 110 16th Street, Suite 780; Denver, GO 80202
Individuals applying by mail need to submit one photocopy of each required document. When applying by mail, please allow time for processing and mail delivery.
- Can permits be revoked?
Yes. The use of permits is monitored. Abuse of any of the permits issued to a household may result in revocation of all permits issued to a household.
