Articles will not be accepted late, unless you’ve made prior arrangements with the Editor, Victoria Freeman. Article deadlines are posted in each issue of the newsletter under the Calendar of Events.
Articles should be e-mailed as an attachment to the Editor in Microsoft Word format or as plain text files. They can also be sent in the e-mail body. If these options won’t work for you, we will accept fax versions or mailed versions of articles. This will require that the Editor retype your text, so please get these to her as early as possible.
Graphics or photos should be submitted to the Editor or Creative Director, Debbie Oberhausen, on or before the article deadline. Include any relevant caption text. Graphics should be submitted as .jpeg files, and photos may be submitted as is and we’ll scan them.
If you believe a photo would improve your article but you’re unable to take it, contact the Editor or Creative Director at least one week prior to the article deadline, and we will try to recruit someone to take your photo(s).
We will not accept partially complete articles or documents that require someone to create an article from them, e.g., brochures or flyers.
To place, renew or edit an ad, contact our Advertising Coordinator, Martha Eubanks, on or before the advertising deadline posted in each newsletter’s Calendar of Events.
If you have a completed flyer you wish to be mailed with the newsletter, contact our Co-President, Margie Grimsley, on or before the article deadline.
If you find a mistake in a published issue of the newsletter, contact the Editor with the needed information and we will print a correction in the next issue.
