Through the Denver LEAFDROP, Denver residents are encouraged to use their leaves at home by composting them or recycling them into their yards and gardens or to take them to any of three drop-off sites on Sundays,
November 5th and November 12th.
Back by popular demand...residents can help close the loop on recycling their leaves by reclaiming them next spring in the form of rich compost for use in their yards and gardens. The compost will be available at the 2007 Treecycle Mulch Giveaway and LEAFDROP Compost Sale in early May. For more information call Denver Recycles after April 1, 2007 at 720-865-6810.
Can you help a neighbor? As in past years, Denver Recycle is encouraging neighborhood associations to consider ways to enable seniors and residents with disabilities to participate in this program. Please assist others with raking their leaves and/or lend time or vehicles to help them transport their leaves to a drop-off site. This would be a great way to significantly expand the benefits of the Denver LEAFDROP and a kind favor for your environmentally conscious neighbors.
We’re here to help! Denver Recycles has educational materials to help you get the word out on waste reduction, reducing junk mail, composting and mulching yard waste, alternatives for hard to recycle materials and more. Please let us know how we can help you. Please call 3-1-1, or visit www.DenverGov.org/DenverRecycles if you have questions or can use additional information about any of our programs.
