We are having SEVERE problems with neighborhood kids. We live on a cul-de-sac. Some kids ride their bikes in our driveway, and have destroyed the flowerbed. We had to take down a basketball hoop that we put up for OUR kids 18 years ago, because these kids just decided to help themselves to it.
We have had to stop in the middle of the road and wait for these kids to move, so that we could get in OUR driveway, while they give you a dirty look. These kids are very rude. The parents have been talked to, and they just don't care. While standing at my door one day, they just decided they needed to play football in our yard. The parents never want them in their yard, but it's ok if they go in the neighbors.
PARENTS - Please take responsibility for your kids. Peakview park is right down the road. We NEVER let our kids be disrespectful to anyone, let alone our neighbors. Whether you accept it or not, IT IS TRESPASSING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY and it needs to stop. In all the time this one family has lived there(5 or 6 years), we have NEVER seen them(the parents) come out to check on their kids. Wouldn't you want to know where your kids were, if they were ok or not??? We are very frustrated and have had it with neighbors that think they are "entitled". Keep your kids in YOUR yard, or take them to the school, which is a very short walk. Seriously, what are you teaching your kids, if you allow them to do whatever? They need to be taught to respect other people's property. Another neighbor two doors over, showed us damage in his yard from these kids. We are not the only ones. Remember the old saying - "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you". It still works!!!
