Hello My name is Natalie I will be renting in the Creston-Kenilworth neighborhood. I have a couple questions.
How may I best get involved in the activities of the neighborhood? Is the neighborhood association active, do people throw block parties in the summer? Are neighbors active in the local schools? Are there other young renters or anyone in the neighborhood that are interested in creating a stronger bond with their neighbors, maybe freindship?
Even though we are renters, we are very committed to making meaningful or at least respectful relationship with our neighbors. I wondered if this was an effective media to discuss these questions before the actual move in. I wonder if this is a neighborhood where people are interested in connecting?
We have a unique opportunity in Portland with the neighborhood associations which allow for the "connecting" inclined to connect. I would be very happy to attend meetings to socialize and get to know people in the neighborhood.
