Have you noticed that most people in the neighborhood (at Sonoma Ranch) when they go for a walk or even a "jog" they walk in the middle of the street instead of using the sidewalks?
Ahh but when they are walking their dogs, the dogs are allowed to roam into the yards and use the landscaping as a "private toilet" while the dog owners look the other way... (well, that subject to be discussed in the near future)
Now my concern is the use of the sidewalks. you might say, "who cares?" well, we ALL SHOULD CARE! Most of the streets in our neighborhood are "winding" streets and the visibility is not that great when the sun is shining on a "driver's" eyes in the daytime and if it is during the night, the neighborhood is PRETTY DARK. This is surely an "accident waiting to happen".
Going for a walk in the neighborhood is a wonderful thing to do but it MUST be done safely to PREVENT accidents and tragedies. PLEASE USE THE SIDEWALKS so that children do the same. Plenty of times I have seen women jogging while they push a baby stroller in the middle of the street. I find this so disturbing and careless, it is bad enough they choose to risk their safety but even worse to endanger the safety of their own "defenseless" babies.
Look forward to your thoughts on this....
