I've just been reading all the SR HOA's comments from the board and S&S committee on controlling speeding in the Summit, specifically on Santa Ursula and Candelaria, which definitely have speeding problems that were acknowledged and verified by the traffic surveys.
Closing the gates 24/7, installing cameras at the gates, and installing speed bumps are all great ideas and I can't wait to to have all this happen SOON to at least try to keep our small community as safe as possible.
One other thought I've been having lately as I walk my daily walk....maybe if these measures fail, we should consider installing a gate at Candelaria and Ruidosa Downs between the Summit and the Reserve. That would cut down on a lot of the traffic through the Summit to shortcut to Sonoma Pkwy and would surely slow them down and discourage using the the Summit as a thorougfare.
Just a thought.
