Dear Property Manager;
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office Community Prosecution division is hosting a landlord training program to assist property owners in addressing landlord/tenant issues that impact the community. The information provided to you during this program will not only benefit the residents in the neighborhood where you own property, but will also help protect your investment by providing tips and techniques to help you recruit and retain good tenants. Some of the information to be presented during this training will be methods for screening applicants, crime prevention, property management techniques, lease agreement suggestions, and tenant eviction.
Your participation in helping to keep criminal activity out of rental properties and keeping neighborhoods clean helps increase property values and decrease crime in neighborhoods. It is through collaborative efforts between property owners like you, neighborhood residents, and law enforcement that we can improve the quality of life for all.
Our next Landlord Training is scheduled for Thursday, November 17th, 2005, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The training will be held at the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center located at 1802 N. Illinois Street.
There is no cost to attend this training however we would ask that you RSVP no later than November 15th. You can reach me at (317) 327-1406 or email me at srallen@indygov.org. If you miss the registration deadline but still wish to attend, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Scott Allen
